Dr. Panos went to Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he graduated in 1993. In 1989, He graduated with honors in biology as Summa Cum Laude of College of New York City. He continued on to Albert Einstein School of Medicine and obtained his medical degree in addiction to numerous awards and honors for academic excellence. Dr. Spyros Panos was also elected into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, between the years of 1993 and 1994. Shortly after completing his residency, he received certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Additional Orthopedic Surgery training was conducted at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Panos achieved General Surgery Intern of the Year and the Academic Competition Award at this Medical Center. He specializes in orthopedic surgery and works to replace necessary body parts using only those medical instruments approved by the FDA, his most common procedures being knee replacement, and nerve block. He’s been successful in aiding patients suffering long term from malfunctioning hips, back, spinal cords, knees, and other medical conditions.
