Certain foods and beverages should be avoided if you suffer heartburn:
- Alcohol
- Coffee
- Carbonated beverages
- Citrus Juices

- Spices and foods rich in fat
- Desserts and fat dairy
Eating and lifestyle habits
Change some habits will further help prevent / reduce the acidity and in many cases achieved complete remission of symptoms:
- Do not eat too much, make several small meals throughout the day.
- Try to eat at least two to three hours before bedtime.
- Avoid exercise after food intake.
- Eat foods rich in protein and low in fat.
- Being overweight is harmful, lose weight if necessary.
- Do not smoke.
- Avoid wearing tight clothes and tight belts.
- Raise the head of the bed between 10 and 15 inches by placing bricks under the legs of the headboard.
- Reduce stress. Practice relaxation techniques, yoga or meditation are very beneficial.
usually people who suffer from heart burn are people who eat foods that are high in cholesterol and eating heavy meal then will sleep after 15-20 mins.
